A Place to Pray

After dreaming for years as a congregation about having a labyrinth, construction has finally begun! When completed, ours will be in the style of the Labyrinth in Chartres Cathedral in Chartres, France, though ours will be smaller. It will be a place that is open to the community as a place of meditation and prayer. It is almost done and we will bless it as a community with a ribbon cutting on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2014 after the 10 am service. Come!

Tim Beck washes the center as Taylor looks on.

Cleaning after the cement was poured. Someone joked that
Tim Beck should have carved into the cement "Tim was here...
for all of it!" He has been an all-star!!

Tim finishes the frames as Taylor spreads gravel.

Tim begins the frames in October-November of 2013.

All done!

Tim, Lloyd, Donovan, Kody and Brian begin to unload the
donated flagstone.

Ground was broken in May, 2013. The arborvitae were planted
later on in the summer. Then the first load of gravel came and
filled the circle. Tim Beck built a retaining wall on the north side
of the labyrinth.
